Breast Cancer Education and Support Programs at Baylor Plano
Education Programs
The Baylor Women's Center at Plano wants you to be aware of your risk for breast cancer so you can learn how to potentially prevent it and if you do develop breast cancer, how to detect it early to give yourself the best chances of beating it. We have several programs to help you know more about your risks:
Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Program - offers
computerized breast cancer risk assessments to women 35 years and older. Participants complete a brief questionnaire about family, reproductive and breast biopsy history, as well as other information, and a 5-year and lifetime risk of developing cancer is estimated. If you prove to be at high risk for developing breast cancer, prevention options can be discussed with the Women's Health Coordinator.
