(FORT WORTH, Texas, November 2, 2007) - Baylor Surgicare at Oakmont, a partnership between Baylor Health Care System and United Surgical Partners International (USPI) has developed an ambulatory surgery center on the campus of Baylor Medical Center at Southwest Fort Worth. The new 13,325 square foot facility named Baylor Surgicare at Oakmont includes four operating rooms and serves as a replacement facility for the existing Bellaire Surgery Center.

"It's very exciting to be a part of the growth taking place in southwest Fort Worth," says Sandy Aaron, administrator of Baylor Southwest Medical Center at Fort Worth. "Baylor is committed to serving the needs of our community. This new facility was designed with the latest amenities for the comfort and convenience of our patients."

The aging Bellaire facility, limitations of the current location, and benefits of being located on a hospital campus prompted the move to the Baylor Southwest campus. The expected specialty mix at the surgery center will be orthopaedics, podiatry, general surgery, otolaryngology and gynecology.

"Our physician partners, Baylor and USPI were excited about this opportunity to create a facility where we can provide quality surgical services for the local community in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment; one in which we would be happy to treat our own families," said Carolyn Exley, regional vice president, Dallas/Fort Worth region for USPI.

The not-for-profit Baylor All Saints Medical Centers serve more than 100,000 people annually through two hospitals, numerous primary care physician centers and practices, a rehabilitation and fitness center, and a variety of medical specialties. Programs of excellence in cardiology, transplantation, neurosciences, oncology and women's services form the heart of the hospitals' services. All Saints joined Baylor Health Care System in January 2002. All Saints Health Foundation, a separately incorporated not-for-profit organization, raises and manages charitable funds to support Baylor All Saints Medical Centers. For fiscal year 2006, Baylor Health Care System reported $406 million in community benefit to the Texas Department of State Health Services.
