The Nicholas and Louella Martin Center for Chronic Pain Management at Baylor All Saints is designed for the treatment of chronic pain including offering easy accessibility and a relaxing atmosphere for patients, family and friends.

The Center is also equipped to address the full spectrum of treatment options by a team of health care professionals including:

  • Psychophysiologist
  • Registered nurses

The Martin Center for Chronic Pain Management offers a total treatment approach that simultaneously addresses physical, mental, social, vocational and spiritual aspects of chronic pain in a single environment. Pharmacological treatments address the problem using medicine, striving to achieve a balance of reducing pain without overmedicating or creating unwanted side effects. Interventional procedures may include steroid injections, nerve blocks, radio frequency treatments or other minimally invasive procedures designed to reduce or eliminate pain and provide immediate relief.

To help patients return to more normal daily activities, the Center also provides a variety of rehabilitation services, including physical therapy/reconditioning, occupational therapy, work conditioning, aquatic therapy and vocational counseling through our on-campus, medically supervised Carter Rehab and Fitness Center.

We also provide other proven strategies for managing pain through educational seminars, group and individual counseling, nutritional planning, biofeedback and relaxation training.
