Epilepsy
Epilepsy is a neurological condition marked by susceptibility to seizures. Seizures may involve change in sensation, awareness or behavior brought about by a brief electrical disturbance in the brain.
If you experience fainting spells or episodes of blank staring - both of which could indicate seizure activity and/or epilepsy - may be referred to a neurologist and an epilepsy monitoring unit.
Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas has an
epilepsy monitoring unit specifically for the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of seizures and epilepsy.
