Wound Care at Baylor Plano

Treating chronic, non-healing wounds is an important focus of the outpatient rehabilitation department of Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano.

Our licensed therapy professionals have specialized training in wound care and will offer a comprehensive evaluation and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to meet your needs. The assessment will include current status of the wound and your understanding of and ability to complete self-care, as well as an evaluation of factors that may be affecting your healing process. Your progress is closely monitored and the plan of care is modified as needed.

To best heal from chronic, non-healing wounds, we also emphasize patient and family education. We also stay in contact with your physician, keeping them informed of your assessment, treatment recommendations and follow-up plan of care to facilitate long-term health.
