Lauras Lunch

Laura Leonard Hallum was the daughter of Nancy and Paul Leonard of Fort Worth. At a young age, Mrs. Hallum was diagnosed with colon cancer, which ultimately spread to her brain. She was able to take advantage of Gamma Knife radiosurgery in Dallas, which is believed to have prolonged her quality of life. Laura died on February 19, 2001, at the age of 34 as a result of the cancer.

The Laura Leonard Hallum Neuroscience Center at Baylor All Saints Medical Center now houses the Leskell Gamma Knife. The program is the first in Fort Worth to offer the deep brain stimulation and is fast becoming an innovative leader with its neuroscience program.

Lauras Lunch is a unique opportunity for the many friends, family members and other supporters of the Laura Leonard Hallum Neuroscience Center to remember Laura and learn more about the latest technologies offered by the center named in her honor.
