Baylor emergency centers provide a wide range of services to meet the needs of critically ill or injured patients, including comprehensive trauma care, CareFlite and limb salvage.
The medical staff includes specialists trained in emergency care in fields such as internal medicine, surgery, infectious disease, nephrology, neurosurgery, transplantation, orthopaedic surgery, neurology, cardiology and pediatrics.
Research is required for Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas emergency department to retain its status as a Level I (comprehensive) trauma center. The addition of a research nurse, who would maintain research data from clinical outcomes, will advance knowledge critical to improving the care of trauma patients.
