Heart and Vascular Services
Heart disease is the nations number one killer, affecting half of all people. Baylor provides a significant portion of the heart and vascular care delivered to patients in North Texas. Gifts for Baylors Heart and Vascular programs ensure Baylors ability to recruit physicians and researchers, purchase medical equipment, educate the medical staff and the community, and conduct leading clinical research.
Clinical research is improving patients lives through innovative procedures, devices, and medications. The goal of such research is to understand, prevent, and even reverse heart disease. Your support will help fund numerous research projects each year. Other needs include the F. Andrew Bell Clinical Library, which focuses on the education of medical professionals, and the SBC Community Resource Center, which provides education for patients and families.

Caring Hearts Volunteer Program
Heart surgery can be a frightening experience for patients and their families. Baylors team of Caring Hearts volunteers at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, Baylor Medical Center at Garland, and Baylor Medical Center at Irving help ease the trauma of heart procedures and recovery. These caring friends have experienced heart surgery either personally or with a family member. As veterans of the war against heart disease, they serve as living proof that there is quality of life after heart surgery.
Since the programs inception in 1985, thousands of patients and family members have been helped. You can help the Caring Hearts volunteer program in two ways: become a Caring Hearts volunteer or make a charitable, tax-deductible gift to support their efforts.
