Transplant Program

Baylor Regional Transplant Institute

Established in 1983, Baylors transplant program is nationally recognized. Research funding is the critical need for transplantation programs including liver, kidney, pancreas, heart and lung, as well as blood and marrow transplants. Your contribution will help fund studies investigating new immunosuppressive therapies, studies to minimize the effects of current therapies, bridge-to-transplant therapies and devices, and treatment of Hepatitis C.

In addition, Baylor recently opened the islet cell laboratory at Baylor Research Institute on the Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas campus. Clinical trials are planned to determine if transplanted pancreatic islet cells will be effective in treating Type 1 diabetes. Your gift will support this important research.
